Electroplating Service

Our electroplating facility is optimized for copper, aluminum and components, providing specialized finishing options for high-performance electrical and industrial applications.

Electroplating Services

Electroplating deposits a thin metal layer onto a substrate using electrolysis in an electrolyte solution. The object to plate serves as the cathode, while the plating metal acts as the anode, with direct current driving metal ions from anode to cathode. This process enhances corrosion resistance, appearance, or conductivity on items like jewelry and tools.

Process Steps

Substrate and anode immerse in an electrolyte containing the plating metal's ions. Direct current oxidizes the anode, releasing metal ions into solution that reduce and deposit on the negatively charged cathode. Thickness and quality depend on current, time, and solution composition.

Common Applications

Used in automotive for chrome bumpers, electronics for circuit contacts, and aerospace for protective layers. Materials include nickel, copper, zinc, and precious metals.

Our Advanced Infrastructure

Our electroplating facility is optimized for copper and aluminum busbars and components, providing specialized finishing options for high-performance electrical and industrial applications.

We offer:

• Full plating for complete surface conductivity

• Connection plating at terminal/contact zones

• Post-epoxy insulation plating, maintaining electrical function after insulation is applied

Available finishes include:

• Silver plating – for superior conductivity and oxidation resistance

• Tin plating – for solderability and surface protection

• Acid zinc plating – with customizable passivation layers (clear, yellow, black)

KemekoSteel’s Edge:

• Precise handling of aluminum and copper materials

• Custom jigs for minimal deformation and accurate masking

• Clean surface preparation = high bonding strength and finish quality

• In-house quality lab testing: continuity, corrosion resistance, and layer adhesion

• Fast and reliable lead times, even for specialized requirements

Our ability to plate after epoxy coating and adjust the process per substrate type gives our clients a technical advantage that is hard to find elsewhere in the market
